The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) played an essential role in the Nyanza International Investors Conference (NIIC) held from February 6th to 8th, 2025 in Kisumu. The event brought together Government Agencies, local and international investors and development partners to explore opportunities for economic growth in the region. KeRRA highlighted its commitment to improving rural road connectivity to facilitate streamlined movement of people and goods.

At its exhibition booth, KeRRA showcased ongoing and upcoming road projects aimed at improving connectivity in rural areas. The authority emphasized its efforts to construct and upgrade roads that link key agricultural zones and trade centers to major transport corridors. Visitors to the KeRRA stand had the opportunity to learn about the role of strategic partnerships in accelerating rural road development, government infrastructure policies and sustainable road construction technologies.

KeRRA also engaged with stakeholders and investors to explore Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) aimed at accelerating infrastructure expansion. Discussions focused on how improved road networks can enhance access to markets, facilitate tourism, and boost key sectors such as agribusiness. By collaborating with local communities and private investors, KeRRA aims to bridge infrastructure gaps while creating more connected and economically vibrant rural Kenya.

The Nyanza International Investors Conference provided a key platform for KeRRA to reaffirm its role in infrastructure-led development.  Through its impactful exhibition and strong presence, KeRRA reinforced its dedication to building high-quality, resilient road networks that connect people, opportunities and businesses.
