KeRRA took part in this year’s celebrations of Africa Public Service Week at the Kenya School of Government Lower Kabete Campus in Nairobi. The two-day event, held annually, aims to celebrate, recognize, and appreciate the achievements of public sectors while addressing some of their challenges.

This year’s theme was “Building a Resilient Education System: The Foundation of a Future Public Service to Revitalize the Economy.”The event was graced by the Principal
Secretary State Department for Public Service, Mr. Amos Gathecha, who emphasized the need for reforms in Kenya’s education system.

He highlighted that the educational framework must evolve to address current economic demands and adapt to future trends, ensuring that the workforce is equipped with the necessary skills for emerging challenges.

The event culminated by addressing climate change. KeRRA, in collaboration with the State Department of Roads and other government agencies, planted 10,000 trees at Matathi Block, Uplands Forest in Kiambu County. This aligns with the Kenya Kwanza Government’s initiative of the Jaza Miti campaign, where the state targets planting 15 billion trees in 10 years to combat climate change and foster a sustainable environment.
