ADDENDUM NO. 2

UPGRADING, SPOT IMPROVEMENT & CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE STRUCTURES ON VARIOUS ROADS – LOT 5

Addendum No. 2 – Lot 5 & Annex

Reference is made to the Tender Notice that appeared in the MyGov Edition Star Newspaper dated 9^th December 2025, the Long Advert dated 22^nd December 2025 and Addendum No. 1 dated 19^th January, 2026.

Interested Bidders are requested to note the following clarifications and amendments;

1. The following items have been amended under the Grand Summary Page of the Bills of Quantity for ALL the Tenders in Lot 5.
2. Percentage (%) for Variation of Price on Sub-Total 1 of the Upgrading works revised from 15% to 5%.
3. Percentage (%) for Contingencies on Sub-Total 1 of the Upgrading works revised from 10% to 5%.

Interested bidders MUST ensure that their bids conform to this requirement in the format prescribed. An extract with the prescribed format for applying Variation of Price and Contingencies respectively under the Grand Summary of the Bills of Quantity is attached as Annex 1.

2. The Tender Document for the project road RWC 858, UPGRADING TO BITUMEN STANDARD OF BUSWETA – IKOBERO – CHAVOGERE – CHEPTECH – SHINYALU ROADS has been revised and the Tender Document for the project road shall be uploaded on 6^th February, 2026.
3. The below clause under Special Specifications for the project road RWC 844, UPGRADING TO BITUMEN STANDARD OF SAMETA – EGETUKI – IKOBA ROADS has been amended as follows:
   • Clause 101 LOCATION OF THE PROJECT ROAD

The project roads are located in Bomachoge Chache and is approximately 11.3 Km long. The road has the following links;

4. The below clause under Special Specifications for the project road RWC 855, UPGRADING TO BITUMEN STANDARD OF GILGIL – GITARE – KANYIRIRI ROAD has been amended as follows:
   • Clause 101 LOCATION OF THE PROJECT ROAD

The project road is in NAKURU County, Gilgil constituency. It is approximately 21.4 Km long as illustrated on the table below

5. The NCA Categories for the following tenders RWC 844 (Upgrading to Bitumen Standard of Sameta – Egetuki – Ikoba Roads) and RWC 855 (Upgrading to Bitumen Standard of Gilgil – Gitare – Kanyiriri Road) have been amended as detailed under the tables attached as Annex 2

8. Pre-Tender Site Visits shall be Mandatory but OPEN to interested bidders for ALL the Tenders under Lot 5 as detailed under Addendum No. 1 dated 19^th January, 2026.
9. Interested Applicants are required to continually check the Authority’s website: kerra.go.ke for any tender addendums or clarifications that may arise before submission date.
10. Bidders with enquiries are encouraged to do so vide the email address procurementhq@kerra.go.ke.
