TENDER NOTICE

ADDENDUM NO. 1

UPGRADING OF VARIOUS ROAD PROJECTS – LOT 13

Reference is made to the Tender Notice that appeared in the MyGov Edition of  Star Newspaper dated 18^th August 2026 and the Long Advert dated 22^nd September 2026.

Interested Bidders are requested to note the following clarifications and amendments;

1. The following Tenders have been cancelled:-

2. Bidders are requested to note the following clarifications and amendments;

RWC/1069: Completion of RWC 884 Phase 2 Kamunkunji – Ndanai – Siongiroi	1.     All standard drawings and designs for the works shall be issued by the Engineer on site as during works implementation.   2.     All Works captured under the Bill of Quantities shall be done in accordance with the Standard Specifications and as directed by the Engineer.   3.     TABLE A: Approximate Weightings for Price Adjustment shall be used as provided for under the Tender document.   4.     A Tender Security shall be required of the amount of KShs. 6 Million as detailed under ITT 21.1 of the Tender Data Sheet.
2.	RWC/1060: Completion of RWC 643 Phase 2: Isoge – Chebilat / Simbauti – Tindereti	1.     The following item has been deleted from Section 102 : Extent of Contract :- ·       Maintenance of works for 36 months.   2.     The following item has been added to Section 102 : Extent of Contract :- ·       Maintenance of works during construction and defects liability period. The defects liability period shall be 12 months.
3.	RWC/1062: Upgrading To Bitumen Standard of Danger – Kimondi – Sironoi – Chemuswa Road	1.   Amend Bill Item No. 1.15 to read as follows;   ·       Allow a Prime Cost Sum of KShs.6,000,000 for the RE’s miscellaneous account to be spent in whole or part as directed by the RE against receipts.   2.   Amend Bill Item No. 25.01 to read as follows;   ·       Allow for a prime cost sum for of KShs 5,000,000 (Five Million) for ESIA study, report, and environmental monitoring.

 

3. A new Tender document under Tender No. RWC/1059 for: Completion for the Upgrading of RWC 519 Phase 2: U-G29664 Kamunyu A/ U-G29671 Kamunyu B/U-G29572 Gathiaka – Gathuya/ Marigi Gategi/ Cununuki – Gacharage/ Gitwe Kiganjo/ Kahata – Munyuini/ Karinga – Kimaruri/Kuri – Cununuki – Gacharage/Ruburi – Wanugu – Flyover shall be uploaded. 10. That the foreign tenderers 40% rule (for foreign tenderers) shall apply for ALL OPEN Tenders under Lot 13. Bidders will be required to provide Properly and dully filled, signed and stamped form (FORM 1 FT) of foreign tenderers 40% rule.

 

11. That a Margin of Preference shall be applied for ALL OPEN Tenders under Lot 13. The application of Margin of Preference shall be as detailed under Table 1, Part C (Margin of Preference & Reservations), Item 17 of the evaluation and qualification criteria given in Section III of the Tender Document.

11. Clarifications and Amendments given herein under Addendum No. 1 take precedence.

13. Bids not received at the submission venue by the closing date and time will not be accepted for opening and will be rejected and returned unopened.
14. Interested Bidders are required to continually check the Authority’s website: kerra.go.ke for any tender addendums or clarifications that may arise before submission date.
