The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a State Corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007 with the responsibility for Management, Development, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Rural Roads network in Kenya.
The Authority hereby invites bids from pre-qualified contractors for the routine maintenance and spot improvement of the following roads in Taita Taveta Region in the financial year 2020/21 to be funded through the 10% Cabinet Secretary Allocation.
Bidders are requested to download the tender documents from the Authority’s website www.kerra.go.ke with effect from Tuesday, 4th May, 2021.

Due to the Covid – 19 Pandemic and subsequent the Presidential Directives issued, there shall be no pre-tender site visits. However, the bidders are encouraged to make personal arrangement to acquaint themselves with the site before submission of the bids.
Interested firms may download and print free of charge the tender documents with detailed specification from the KeRRA Website: www.kerra.go.ke
Procurement and evaluation will be based on the above details and post qualification criteria as stated in the Instruction to Tenderers. Serialized bid documents must be submitted in plain sealed envelope marked with tender number, road name and deposited in the relevant tender box situated at the Kenya Rural Roads Authority – Voi Regional Office, Voi loop road – Voi Town or addressed to the above- mentioned address:
Price quoted must be net, inclusive of all Government taxes and remain valid during the whole contract period.
So as the tenders can be received by Tuesday, 18th May, 2021 at 11:00am.
Opening of the bids will take place at the Regional office in Voi immediately thereafter in presence of only ten (10) bidders representatives who will be nominated by the other bidders.
Canvassing and/or any form of corrupt malpractice intended to influence the outcome of the whole or part of the process will lead to automatic disqualification irrespective of the procurement stage.
Tenders submitted after the closing date and time shall be disqualified and returned to bidder un-opened.
Information relating to the examination, evaluation and recommendation for successful candidates shall not be disclosed to applicants or other person not officially permitted until awards are communicated.
All interested bidders are required to continually check the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) website: www.kerra.go.ke for any tender addendums or clarifications that may arise before the submission date.
NB: (1) Contractors can ONLY be awarded a maximum of TWO contracts in one FY
(2) Contractors with on-going works will not be eligible for award of this contracts
