TENDER NOTICE

INVITATION OF BIDS FOR MINOR ROAD WORKS/SPOT IMPROVEMENT WORKS

 

Bids are invited from contractors who are pre-qualified in respective Constituencies in Vihiga Region and in the respective work categories for the following Minor Road Maintenance and Spot Improvement Works under AIA and GOK Funds for YR 2019-20.

INSTRUCTIONS TO TENDERES

 

  1. To enhance equity, bidders who have been awarded tenders of 22% by KeRRA-Vihiga for the financial year 2019-2020 are ineligible to bid.

 

  1. Bidders who are prequalified in respective work category and Constituencies may tender.
  1. The scope of works for various contracts are as stipulated in Tender Documents and in the pre-qualification work categories which have been outlined above.
  1. Bidders participating under Y, W&PWD need not be prequalified.
  1. Due to Covid19 Pandemic and consequently the Presidential directives issued, there shall be no Pre tender site visits. However, bidders are encouraged to make personal arrangement to acquaint themselves with the sites before submission of bids.
  1. All bids must be accompanied by the following;

            a). Copy of Certificate of incorporation

            b). Proof of registration with National Construction Authority NCA 4 and below

                 with valid and Current Practising License.

            c). VAT registration Certificate.

            d). PIN registration Certificate.

            e). Valid Tax compliance certificate.

           f). Certified Recent CR12 System generated forms for the last 12 months.

           g). Copies of National Identity cards for Directors of Tenderers’ bidding Y, W&PWD

                 Reserved contracts.

           h). Provide litigation history, certificates and CVs of key personnel, experience in

                 similar works (scope and value of contracts) as outlined in the evaluation criteria.

           i). Bank Account or Statement in the name of the firm for the last one year from the date

               of this tender.

           j). A bidder may bid more than one tender in the region but will only be considered for

                two contracts in the region but in different constituencies.

           k). Bidders Must sequentially serialise all pages of their Bid documents.

           l). Bidders must provide all the information required as per the Bid documents.

          m). Prices quoted must remain valid for 120 days from the date of Opening.

           n). Bidders who do not meet any of the above conditions will not be considered for

                 award of any contract.

  1. Other qualification requirements are as outlined in the Tender Document.
  1. Bidders are requested to continually check the KeRRA website www.kerra.go.ke for any tender addenda or clarification that may arise before submission date.

Interested eligible bidders will download the tender documents from the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) website: www.kerra.go.ke from Wednesday 20th May 2020.

Duly filled Tender Documents in plain sealed envelopes marked with respective tender number, Project Name and constituency should be addressed to:

All filled and sealed tenders must be deposited to the respective tender boxes at Vihiga Regional Office, on or before Wednesday 27th May 2020 at 10.00 am.

Due to Covi19 Pandemic, opening of the tenders will take place immediately thereafter at Vihiga Regional Office in the presence of a few Bidders who will be chosen to witness the Opening.

NB: Canvassing by tenderers will lead to automatic disqualification.
