TENDER NOTICE

 

ADDENDUM NO. 1

 

UPGRADING OF ROADS AHEAD OF MASHUJAA DAY CELEBRATIONS.

ADDENDUM NO. 1 12 September 2025

Reference is made to the Tender Notice, Long Advert and Uploaded Bid Documents that appeared in the Authority’s website on 10^h September, 2025.

 

Interested Bidders are requested to note the following amendments for the Tenders published under the referenced Tender Notice;

 

1. Tender No. KERRA/08/3/215/2024-2025

 SPOT IMPROVEMENT OF JCNT B62 MULUTU- ITHIANI MARKET- KILIKO

Bidders are instructed to note the following changes;

Under the qualification criteria, the following changes applies;

Under Section 3.2(a) the Specific Construction Experince, bidders are required to have participated as the main contractor in at least Two (2) contracts each with a value of at least Kshs. 800,000,000.00 within the last Ten (10) Years that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works. The similarity shall be based on the physical size, complexity, methods/technology, or other characteristics as described in the Scope of Works)

 

For subcontracted Works the Bidder should provide the following:

• Award letter of the Main Contractor
• Award letter of the subcontract
• Completion letter of the Subcontract
• Proof of payment (attach payment certificates and certified bank statements indicating proof of payment).

 

The amount of Kshs. 800,000,000.00 is revised to Kshs. 400,000,000. Other details in 3.2(a) remains the same.

2. TENDER No.:KERRA/08/39/211/2024-2025

SPOT IMPROVEMENT OF ITHIANI MARKET- MBUSYANI – ITHOOKWE STADIUM

 

Under the qualification criteria, the following changes applies;

3. Under Section 3.2(a) the Specific Construction Experince, bidders are required to have participated as the main contractor in at least Two (2) contracts each with a value of at least 1,600,000,000.00 within the last Ten (10) Years that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works. The similarity shall be based on the physical size, complexity, methods/technology, or other characteristics as described in the Scope of Works)

 

For subcontracted Works the Bidder should provide the following:

 

• Award letter of the Main Contractor
• Award letter of the subcontract
• Completion letter of the Subcontract
• Proof of payment (attach payment certificates and certified bank statements indicating proof of payment).

The amount of Kshs. 1,600,000,000.00 is revised to Kshs. 700,000,000. Other details in 3.2(a) remains the same.

3. The tender submission date and time remains 17^th September, 2025 at 11:00 A.M.

 

4. Opening of the bids will take place immediately thereafter in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.

 

5. Bids not received at the submission venue by the closing date and time will not be accepted for opening and will be rejected and returned unopened.

 

6. Errors in the pricing of the Bills of Quantities will not be corrected. Bidders with such errors will be disqualified.

 

Clarity on Serialization of Tender Documents

All pages of the tender documents submitted by bidders shall be sequentially serialized including the cover page.

All interested bidders are required to continually check the Kenya Rural Roads Authority website:

www.kerra.go.ke  for any tender addendums or clarifications that may arise before submission date.
