UPGRADING, SPOT IMPROVEMENT & CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE STRUCTURES ON

The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a state corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, with the responsibility for management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of rural roads.

1. The Authority hereby invites bids from eligible Construction Companies to bid for Upgrading, Spot Improvement & Construction of Drainage Structures on Various Roads to be financed by the Government of Kenya through the Development Vote.
2. Bidders are required to download tender documents from the Authority’s website kerra.go.ke from 5^th June, 2026.

4. Pre-Tender Site Visit is Open but Mandatory for all the tenders under this Notice. Bidders are required to visit

site and thereafter collect a duly signed Pre-Tender Site Visit Certificate from Authorized Regional Officer as indicated in the Instruction to Bidders.

6. Completed tender documents for Tender No. RWC 1026, Gagra – Madiany – Ndigwa – Agok, Tender No. RWC 1027, Karemo – Randago – Tingwangi and Tender No. RWC 1028, Kamito – Ongielo Health Center  should be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked with the Tender Name, Tender Number and deposited in the Tender Boxes at the offices of Kenya Rural Roads Authority 3rd Floor, South Wing, Barabara Plaza Block B. Airport South Road, Along Mazao Road, Opp KCAA Building, JKIA P.O Box 48151 – 00100, Nairobi, Kenya, on or before 15^th June, 2026 at00 A.M as indicated in Table 1 above.
7. All other completed tender documents should be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked with the Tender Name, Tender Number and deposited in the Tender Boxes at the offices of respective Regional Directors on or before 15^th June, 2026 at 11:00 A.M.
8. Opening of the bids will take place immediately thereafter in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.
9. Bulky tenders which do not fit in the Tender Box shall be delivered to the Supply Chain Management Office located on the 3rd Floor, Barabara Plaza, Block B.
10. Bids not received at the submission venue by the closing date and time will not be accepted for opening and will be rejected and returned unopened.

 

 

11. To enhance equity, bidders will only be Awarded a Maximum of Two (2) Tenders, under this Tender Notice and the most advantageous to the employer.
12. Director (s) bidding under different companies for the same tender will be disqualified.
13. All pages of the tender documents submitted by bidders shall be sequentially serialized including the cover page.
14. All interested bidders are required to continually check the Kenya Rural Roads Authority website: kerra.go.ke for any tender addendums or clarifications that may arise before submission date.
