UPGRADING TO BITUMEN STANDARD, REHABILITATION, RECARPETING & GRAVELLING WORKS OF VARIOUS ROADS – LOT 6

Addendum no 5 LOT 6

Reference is made to the Tender Notice that appeared in the MyGov Edition Star Newspaper dated 13th January 2026, the Long Advert dated 28^th  January 2026, Addendum No.1 dated 18^th February 2026 and Addendum No.2 dated 25th February 2026, Addendum No.3 dated 3^rd March 2026 and addendum no 4 dated 17^th November.

Interested Applicants are requested to note the following clarifications.

1. For all tenders, Section 2 of the Special Specification in the tender documents, Materials and testing of materials (bituminous binders), the type of bitumen for asphalt concrete shall be 80/100 penetration grade
2. For Tender No. RWC 871 Upgrading To Bitumen Standard of Cherangani Kipkeikei-Suwerwa-Kamoi-Kapcherop Road, the Tender Security shall be Kshs 3,000,000.00 (Three Million Shillings)
3. For Tender No. RWC 903-Makaveti – Iiuni , All vehicle shall revert to the employer.
4. For Tender No RWC 934, Upgrading To Bitumen Standard of Wamumu – Karaba – Machanga Road Phase 1, substitute item NC 1 22 of Bill No one of the Bills of Quantities with the following

Allow a Prime Cost Sum of KShs 5,000,000.00 for reagents and Material testing as instructed by the Engineer
