UPGRADING TO BITUMEN STANDARDS OF VARIOUS ROADS

1. The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a state corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act 2007, with the responsibility of management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of Rural Roads.
2. The Authority hereby invites sealed tenders from eligible bidders for the Upgrading to Bitumen Standards and Perfomance Based Maintenance of various Roads through the GoK funds as below.
3. Interested Bidders are advised to download the Long Advertisement from the Authority’s website kerra.go.ke and PPIP Portal www.tenders.go.ke free of charge as from 13^th May, 2025 and Tender documents as from 20^th May, 2025.

5. MANDATORY PRE-TENDER site visits shall be held on dates and times indicated in the matrix above. Bidders are required to have the Certificate of Bidder`s visit to site signed by the respective Regional Directors.

7. Completed tender documents should be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked with the Tender Name, Tender Number and deposited at KeRRA Head office in the Tender Box located in the Supply Chain Office, Third Floor, Barabara Plaza Block B, Mazao road, Opposite KCAA building on or before 4^th June, 2025 at 11:00 A.M
8. Opening of the bids will take place immediately thereafter in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.
9. Bids not received at the submission venue by the closing date and time will not be accepted for opening and will be rejected and returned unopened.
10. To enhance equity, bidders will only be Awarded a Maximum of Two (2) Tenders, under this Tender Notice and the most advantageous to the employer.
11. Director (s) bidding under different companies for the same tender will be disqualified.
12. Errors in the pricing of the Bills of Quantities will not be corrected. Bidders with such errors will be disqualified.
13. All pages of the tender documents submitted by bidders shall be sequentially serialized including the cover page.
14. All interested bidders are required to continually check the Kenya Rural Roads Authority website: kerra.go.ke for any tender addendums or clarifications that may arise before submission date.
