UPGRADING, SPOT IMPROVEMENT & CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE STRUCTURES ON VARIOUS ROADS – LOT 5

Addendum No.1 – Lot 5 (Sp exp) revised

Reference is made to the Tender Notice that appeared in the MyGov Edition of the Star Newspaper dated 16^th December, 2025 and the Long Advert dated 22^nd December, 2025.

The Authority has received requests for clarification on the above referenced procurement and Interested Applicants are requested to note the following clarifications;

1. The Tender Document for the Tender for Upgrading to Bitumen Standard of Busweta – Ikobero – Chavogere – Cheptech – Shinyalu Road, Tender No. RWC858 has been revised and shall be available as from 23^rd January, 2026.
2. The following items have been amended under Table 1 for Technical & Financial Capacity Evaluation for ALL the Tenders in Lot 5.
3. Annual Average Construction Turnover contained under Item No. 2.2
4. Specific Construction Experience contained under Item No. 3.2(a).

3. Bill No. 4 for the tender for Upgrading to Bitumen Standard of A7 (Showground, Hindi) – Lamu Red Cross Centre – Safirisi – A7(Ndeu) And Access Roads, Tender No. RWC 852 has been revised and is attached as Annex 1
4. Item No. xiv on “Maintenance of works for 36 months” captured under the tender for Upgrading to Bitumen Standard of Baolala – Matano Mane – Dida – Kakajuni Road, Tender No. RWC 842 SHALL not be applicable.
5. Pre-Tender Site Visits shall be Mandatory but OPEN to interested bidders for ALL the Tenders under Lot 5. The site visits shall be held on agreed dates and times with the respective Regional Directors for interested bidders who will want to visit site. Bidders shall be required to have the Certificate of Bidder`s visit to site signed by the respective Regional Directors.
6. The Contact Details for the Regional Directors are available in the Long Advertisement dated 22^nd December 2025.
7. That the submission date for the tenders has been revised as follows: from 23^rd January, 2026 to
   6^th February, 2026 at 11.00am.
8. The Employer SHALL verify the authenticity of all guarantees with the Central Bank of Kenya for they are the regulator of all banking practices.
9. Interested Applicants are required to continually check the Authority’s website: kerra.go.ke for any tender addendums or clarifications that may arise before submission date.
