ADDENDUM NO. 1

FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT FOR THE MANUFACTURE, SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND LAUNCHING OF BAILEY BRIDGES ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

PROPOSED FOOT 20 TONNE BAILEYS BRIDGE

PROPOSED FOOT BRIDGE-10 TONNE BAILEYS BRIDGE

PROPOSED PEDESTRIAN BAILEYS BRIDGE

Reference is made to the Tender Notice that appeared in the MyGov Edition Newspaper dated 10th February 2026 and the Long Advert dated 11th February, 2026.

Interested Bidders are requested to note the following clarifications and amendments;

  1. Introduction of New Bill Item – 19.10 – Painting of Bailey Bridges

A new Bill Item is hereby introduced under each of the seven (7) Regional Lots for Painting of Bailey Bridges. The rate shall include associated costs. The Bill Item shall be as follows –

  1. It is clarified that Bill Item 01 – supervision cost under the Framework Agreement is per structure.
  2. The Framework Agreement is amended to provide the following alternative supply options under Lot 8: –
    1. Option A: Supply of Galvanised Bailey Bridges.
    2. Option B: Supply of Galvanised and fully painted Bailey Bridges. – See Annex 1

Bidders shall clearly indicate their pricing under both options. Evaluation shall be conducted in accordance with the criteria set out in the Bidding Documents.

  1. The Drawings for the proposed Bailey Bridges can be accessed and downloaded from the KeRRA website.
  2. The tender submission and opening date is hereby revised from 24th February, 2026 to on or before 6th March, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
  3. Bidders are advised to take this Addendum into account in preparation of their bids.
  4. Interested Applicants are required to continually check the Authority’s website: kerra.go.ke for any tender addenda or clarifications that may arise before the submission date.
  5. Bidders with enquiries are encouraged to do so vide the email address procurementhq@kerra.go.ke.
  6. All other information pertaining to the tender remains the same.
